Documentation and Archives Center

A space dedicated to research

Referencing documentary collections on contemporary history at both regional and local levels, the Documentation and Archives Center is open to researchers, teachers, students, and individuals wishing to carry out historical research in order to:

  • Conduct academic or school research
  • Trace a family or local history
  • Prepare an exhibition, publication, or cultural project

The archives of the Mémorial consist of private collections illustrating the history of Alsace-Moselle from 1870 to the post-war period: photographs, paper documents, everyday objects, and audiovisual materials.

The documentation officer supports visitors in their research but does not conduct private research on their behalf.
